(San Francisco) – PG&E Corporation (NYSE:
PCG) has elected Rand L. Rosenberg as Senior Vice President,
Corporate Strategy and Development, effective November
1, 2005.
Rosenberg will be responsible for developing the Corporation’s
long-term strategic plan and evaluating growth opportunities,
including asset acquisitions and mergers within the
energy sector.
“With more than two decades of extensive business
and financial expertise, Rand is an outstanding addition
to our team,” said Peter A. Darbee, PG&E
Corporation President and CEO. “We look forward
to his contributions.”
Rosenberg spent more than a decade in the field of
investment banking. He was a Managing Director and
Head of Global Telecommunications Investment Banking
at Salomon Brothers. He also held senior positions
at Goldman Sachs & Co., Lehman Brothers and Montgomery
Securities after serving as Head of Corporate Development
at the Pacific Telesis Group. Most recently, Rosenberg
served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer at Infospace in Bellevue, Wash., where he was
responsible for overseeing the financial organization
and heading up the company’s corporate development
efforts.
Rosenberg earned an MBA from the University of Chicago
and a bachelor’s degree from Whitman College.
