Vice President, Electric Distribution Operations | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Michael Lewis became PG&E’s Vice President of Electric Distribution Operations in August 2018. In his role, Lewis will oversee electric distribution operations for the company’s 70,000-square-mile service area.
Lewis brings three decades of electric operations experience to PG&E. Most recently, he served as Duke Energy’s Senior Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer, responsible for distribution operations across six states. Lewis previously served in increasingly more senior roles in the electric transmission and distribution including Chief Transmission Officer at Duke Energy. Before the Duke Energy/Progress Energy merger, Lewis was a senior vice president of energy delivery for Progress Energy Florida.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He attended both the Advanced Management Program at Duke University and the Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
He is a member of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (AEIC).
